March, 2021

At ReefSystems, we are committed to promoting a culture of health, safety, and sustainability in all aspects of our operations, particularly in the production and installation of artificial reefs, planters and other products that stimulate biodiversity. The following policy outlines our dedication to ensuring the well-being of our employees, protecting the environment, and contributing to sustainable practices:

1. Health and Safety

  • Employee Training: All employees involved in the production and installation of artificial reefs will receive comprehensive training on workplace health and safety practices. This includes proper handling of materials, equipment, and emergency procedures.
  • Employees must have a VCA license
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): It is mandatory for all employees to wear appropriate PPE, such as helmets, gloves, safety goggles and dust masks while working with recycled concrete and glass fiber materials.
  • Risk Assessment: Regular risk assessments will be conducted to identify potential hazards in the workplace. Control measures will be implemented to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Health Promotion: We will promote employee health and well-being through initiatives such as ergonomic assessments, access to health resources, and regular health check-ups.

2. Environmental Sustainability

  • Recycled Materials: We are committed to using recycled concrete, sand and glass fiber materials in the production of artificial reefs to minimize our environmental impact and promote sustainable practices.
  • Waste Management: Proper waste management protocols will be established to ensure the responsible disposal of any waste generated during production and installation processes.
  • Energy Efficiency: We will strive to improve energy efficiency in our operations by implementing energy-saving practices and exploring renewable energy sources. Our complete production and office space runs on solar power
  • Biodiversity Protection: All of our products including the MOSES artificial reefs will be designed and installed with a focus on preserving and boosting local marine biodiversity and ecosystems.

3. Continuous Improvement

  • Compliance: We will comply with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and strive to exceed industry standards in these areas.
  • Monitoring and Review: Regular monitoring and review processes will be put in place to assess the effectiveness of our health, safety, and sustainability initiatives. Feedback from employees and stakeholders will be considered for continuous improvement.
